:Hi guys for those who remember me. :Well it has been a long time coming this project of mine with a few obsticles along the way. Namely myself (changing my mind and starting things over), openining a shop (AAP Motorsports), drag car, customers cars, and having our first baby a true blessing named Mireya. :To start what can I say about the project? Its a big project that ended up getting bigger and bigger as time went on. I had alot of goals #1 being that the car must be true to form. It must be a 300ZX and still be a pleasure to drive when not at 100% throttle, so I must have my A/C and not hack up the body to make things fit. :The parts list in a nutshell are :Fully done up motor anything you can think of it has been done, Solid Valve train, Tomei 270 high lift cams, Weisco Pistons, Pauter Rods, ferrera valve train, fully worked crank, completely worked head, port matching everywhere, coating, treatments, shot peaning, and etc. :The turbo kit consists of Pentroof Manifolds (thanks to Kuah at SPL Parts), HKS 2835s that had some work on the housings like being micro polished (compressor), ported (compressor and exhaust), extrude honed (exhaust), and etc. :I will try and update my profile on all the things that have been done its a fairly long list :-P :Right now the car is at what I am calling phase 1. Which is get the car running and not sitting in the shop taking up space and break in the motor. :Here is how it looked after I dropped in the motor I will search for some older pics with the motor on the engine stand. : :Here is a pic of the actual turbo. It hard to see but the turbo does not touch the frame and the silver thing is a inconel heat shield I had made. : :There has been some talk on what the ultimate exhaust I think I have the winner :-P Well sort of the best exhaust it the one that works best for your application. This one was made for my Greg Dupree it starts off as a 2.5 cat back with flex joints on the mid pipes into the X-Pipe which runs into a set of resonators, that steps up into a 3" piping into a set of SS mufflers then exits out with a Quad 4.5 Ovals. Greg let me know that they didn't enjoy making this exhaust and that they would not make another one. I had tried to make it out of titanium but that just ended up being a bit complex to find all the components. The end result is a very awesome sounding exhaust system I will try and take some video footage for you guys :-) :Right now I am breaking in the motor and working out all the kinks and etc. But so far everything is working out very well so in the mine time I will post some pics for you guys to look at. I resized all the pics to be 800 wide they were all taken a Canon 20d for thos interested.. : : : : : : :My next phases is to clean up the interior and install my other components like the audio system, the rest of the gauges, racelogic, Passport, Big Brakes, and etc. I am thinking there will be a 3 more phases before the car is complete. :I hope you guys enjoyed the pictures. And if you guys have any questions feel free to ask.
